The Story of a Blind Man & the Similarities Between the Wife of Rasulullah SAW and the Wife of Ahmad
Prophet Khidr AS came to me amidst my drowsiness and said:
O Ahmad,
I have taken you around the places Allah has shown you, and I have conveyed to you what you must carry out with some of your followers. What burdens your heart so much that you cannot leave your home, even though your wives do not feel neglected in the slightest?
O Ahmad,
have I not told you the story of a pious man walking in darkness with his blind companion? The guide grew angry when the blind man pulled him back, causing him to fall and get injured. However, the anger did not last long because the guide realized that, had he continued, he would have collided with a large thorny tree due to taking the wrong path. The blind man then said, 'Am I not more familiar with this dark path than you, my friend? For I have traversed it many times and know it well.'
Indeed, there is profound wisdom
in that story, experienced by the pious man and his blind companion. Truly,
in the darkness of this world, there is light for those who steadfastly hold
their staff and find illumination in their hearts.Such is the parable for those
who are wise.
O Ahmad,
I have narrated to you in full how Umar Ibn Khattab rejoiced when his daughter, who had become a widow, was married to your noble Grandfather, Muhammad SAW. Truly, your noble Grandfather did so by Allah's command to maintain kinship ties and to care for a widow whose husband had fallen as a martyr in the path of Allah. Allah knows best the attitudes and characteristics of Hafsah binti Umar, and thus He gave her to your patient and noble Grandfather.
Indeed, the beauty and demeanor of Aisyahbinti Abu Bakar are reflected in your first wife. If Aisyah is like the sun, then the beauty of your first wife is akin to the crescent moon, sharp and graceful. Truly, regarding Allah’s command that I conveyed to you years ago, Allah chose for you to marry your second wife. Initially, your natural stubbornness rejected the command. However, Allah proved the truth of His command through clear signs of His power: the moon becoming two moons, and rain falling in response to their prayers.
This event was witnessed by some of your followers. Would you deny it? Be just to both of them, so that Allah may truly make them examples for the end times. I have told you about Hafsah binti Umar; let it be a lesson for you to guard your words and actions toward your second wife.
Truly, the sincerity of your first wife in proposing your second wife to you was by the noble Grandfather’s command through a vast indication in her dream.
O Ahmad,
Has it not been Allah who brought your noble Grandfather, Muhammad SAW, into the dream of your first wife? And in that dream, he sent greetings to you, while the events and surroundings of the dream illustrated your life’s journey, showing that your first wife was very close to the Noble Prophet Muhammad SAW? I have been commanded to explain the meaning of that dream. Your posture, sitting humbly, signifies submission to Allah’s will and commands. The fire surrounding you represents the path of "Malamatiyyah," a path that serves as both a revealing and testing ground—a road filled with thorns of trials, misinterpretations, and false suspicions for those who peel away its layers. The darkness surrounding it is the Al-Makhfiy—the hidden truth you bear in your struggle until today.
O Ahmad,
write this down and do not reduce it. Truly, this story will become an example for the end times. Be patient, and restrain your words toward your second wife. Ask for permission from both of them if you wish to travel alone; that is the better course of action for you. My anger toward you is not because of the death of your pet, but because of your harshness toward your second wife. Do you not see that between the two of them, there is wisdom that you do not possess? This is why Allah entrusted them to you. Do they not understand that choosing you, who has no wealth, is a bitter choice? You must realize this until Allah opens the best path for you and your vessel.
Only a little of Allah’s path for your noble Grandfather Muhammad SAW is repeated for you as a model for the end times. Do not shy away from walking it. The beauty and vastness of the ocean can only be understood by those who dive into it. To those who only gaze upon it from the shore, it appears only as waves and ripples, with little color on its surface. Such is the state of those who approach the ocean only at its edge, wetting their feet. This is a parable for those who know you only by name and appearance, just as your noble Grandfather was viewed by a people who exceeded their limits.
O Ahmad,
leave your house and fulfill what Allah has commanded you to do. Truly, three of your companions will understand this in time. Allah will shake the earth beneath their feet as a sign that it is Allah who has commanded, not you. Stay in a place that I will show you, and build what I have taught you. Do not doubt, nor tire yourself. Indeed, those from your land and from your brother’s land will come to aid you and become your faithful followers. Tell those who come in this month, whom I have mentioned by name, to truly dedicate their time to making the tools and to be patient with everything you do in that place. Withholding hunger and thirst to preserve faith is more important than running toward a piece of meat in the mouth of a tiger or a glass of milk in the hand of an oppressor.
