"A Call to Righteous Commerce and Humility: Advice to Ahmad and His Followers"
Prophet Khidr (AS) came to me and said:
"O Ahmad, truly, what your grandfather, the Noble Prophet Muhammad, has spoken in my dream and in yours, after you shared your dream with me, I smiled because your dream was almost the same as what was in mine.
Be grateful to Allah AzzaWaJalla, for what the Noble Prophet Muhammad said about you in that dream, and guard yourself against arrogance and unbecoming traits. Indeed, both I and your grandfather (the Messenger of Allah SAW) admire simplicity in behavior and in dress, making you an 'Al-Makhfiy' (the concealed one). In the future, your hair might serve as a means of salvation on the Day of Judgment or could lead you toward hellfire due to pride.
Have not some of your followers dreamed of meeting the Noble Messenger of Allah, to the extent that they could clearly see the form and hair of the Honorable Muhammad bin Abdullah? Make sure to keep your heart pure and fulfill the trust he bestowed upon you.The sacrifice and sincerity of some of your followers make me smile as I witness how they spread love among one another. Indeed, this is the "bond" that connects with the loving bond of Allah AzzaWaJalla, toward His servants who strengthen ties of kinship and spread compassion.Tell your followers, if one hand cannot move a large stone blocking the path, then a thousand hands will easily clear even a mountain-sized stone.
O Ahmad, tell your followers to understand what Allah has commanded you, to guide them to their destined path with Allah. Just as the Noble Prophet mentioned your followers' names in my dream and in yours, let them be assured; truly, two of your followers have been appointed by Allah as bearers of your trust.Let these two listen to the teachings and advice you convey, and instruct them in what they have paid for with their dedication.
Tell them the advice from your Honorable Grandfather Muhammad:
"If the wind blows, enjoy
its coolness and do not attempt to capture it to bring it into their homes.
Truly, the heart is a home for angels bearing the light of guidance, and the
mind is a home for angels bearing the light of knowledge. Angels cannot enter a
house if there is a 'dog' barking inside it (jealousy, envy, hypocrisy,
arrogance, ostentation, worldly attachments, and vile traits are like barking
dogs inside homes)."
O Ahmad, tell your followers that Allah desires an easing of commerce in their land, though the beginning may be difficult. Have they not longed for their soil to become fertile and bring joy to the native inhabitants of their land?
And for commerce to truly stand above their non-native competitors?
For so long, they could only watch, as their hands couldn't grasp it. The land of Arkhabil was once fertile and beautiful, until 'dirty and greedy hands' came, and the law of zakat became obscure and forgotten.
Then they say, 'Oh! How successful those who come to our land are! How wonderful it would be to sit with them!'
No! That is not the attitude they should have. They should say:
'I submit and obey only Allah and His Messenger. Truly, I honor and embrace those who respect, preserve the culture, and obey the laws of the land of Arkhabil. And I am not dazzled by success that lacks piety before AllahAzzaWaJalla.'
O Ahmad, tell them that Allah has given an easy path so that one of your followers could secure 7 out of 11 paths of commerce. Can the others not secure the remaining 4? If they realize it, Allah wants them to establish 11 businesses to compete with the transgressors. If they understand this…
O Ahmad, execute this command in your brother’s land and in your land. Let the charitable sit with you and quickly establish these businesses. Tell them, if Allah has granted them the power and ability to create the same as what the worshippers of the world have created, why then must they buy from these world-worshipers?
Tell your followers, if they can create in their own land what the world-worshipers produce in distant lands, why should they travel far to meet their commercial needs?
O Ahmad, Allah has opened your mind to make what the world-worshipers create.
And you only need to teach your 11 followers until they reach their destined fate as decreed by Allah. Indeed, Allah easily raises and lowers,He will not humiliate those who fulfill zakat and the commercial laws He has established for the Ummah of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, who is radiant…
O Ahmad, tell your followers, hasten to establish commerce by building a strong foundation where they create and produce what the world-worshipers do.
Would it not be better for these world-worshipers to marvel at and visit the land of Arkhabil, becoming buyers instead of sellers?
O Ahmad, move swiftly, be firm, and be patient with the behavior of your followers, and avoid interest (riba) in every business deal. And show mercy to the poor and the weak, and be stern toward those who would defile the land of Arkhabil.
I, Balya bin Malkan, wish for you to write down what I have spoken to you, and do not fear or hesitate to record it.Who is more powerful on this earth? Indeed, Allah is the Most Powerful, far above those who have long deceived the land of Arkhabil by dividing its native people, while the native people of Arkhabil merely watch the success of the world-worshipers and quarrel amongst themselves.
O Ahmad, prepare yourself. The Lord of all worlds has commanded that your mind be made clear, so that you may easily understand the way to "create it."
Then proclaim…!!" LabaikayaRabb..Qobiltu... AlaaSabilillahWarosulih...”
( 'Here I am, O Lord… I accept… for the sake of Allah and His Messenger…')
