“Three of the eleven lands that
will become helpers of the orphans and the poor in the land of Arkhabil.”
Prophet
Khidr (AS) greeted me with peace, his face stern as if in anger towards me, and
he said:
“O
Ahmad, do you not see how Allah causes grains of rice to grow upon the earth
without water? Then Allah sends down rain just as you wish for it? Is that not
clear proof that you truly stand with Him? Then why do you hesitate and fear to
carry out what I have conveyed to you? Or do you not realise that when your
ship sails in the midst of the ocean and is about to reach the island of
happiness, you turn away simply because of a storm? Do not be foolish after
Allah has granted you the light of knowledge that benefits the people.
O
Ahmad, no one reaches the peak of a high mountain without exhaustion and
struggle. Do you not observe this? Truly, some of the followers promised by
Allah are already with you and striving alongside you. Did they come of their
own accord, or were they brought by Allah? Say, O Ahmad—they were sent by Allah
because of His love for your ship, and Allah wills to open eleven lands from
three lands that you must pay heed to. Call upon your brothers in these three
lands to come to you, then teach them to establish a trade in their own lands
after you have tested them. Surely Allah intends to make them supporters of the
poor and the orphans in their lands. Be patient with them.
O
Ahmad, it is very easy for Allah to punish those around you who doubt what you
have written and conveyed. Indeed, I, Balya bin Malkan, see them as resembling
the Children of Israel, who sought only worldly gain from the Prophets and
Messengers. They cursed, insulted, and even wronged the Messengers of Allah
when the divine commands delivered to them became too heavy for their hearts
and souls. Do they not think?
O
Ahmad, the path to Allah’s Paradise is filled with deceptions and burdens
brought forth by Satan and the desires of the self—doubts, disbelief, and
hatred will cover the heart. Whereas the path to Hell is filled with the
indulgence of anger, greed, and the rebellious soul that resists repentance. Be
patient when facing those closest to you, and those who push you to neglect
Allah’s command upon you. Has not Allah already sent down a warning to those
nearest to you? And has Allah not punished your tongue because of your silence,
for failing to utter what you were commanded to say to them? Do not let this
happen again—for it is you whom Allah has commanded, not them. Truly, how
foolish is one who chooses to clutch burning iron when before him a King offers
gold and jewels as a gift and a test. Reflect, O Ahmad. Indeed, in this month
of the Prophet’s birth, you will not pass beyond the 12th until it is set, and the
23rd shall be the opening for three and eleven. This is what you must fulfil.
O
Ahmad, tell me—who created you, who eased your affairs, who brought you loyal
followers, so that today a strong foundation is built with them? It is Allah,
who has set forth this path and established the structure of trade for you and
for those followers whom He has chosen as your helpers. You must think of their
welfare and of your ship.
O
Ahmad, do your wives wish for you to remain with me forever at Mount Qaf, or do
they want to see you fall and be trampled in humiliation by your mockers and
enemies? Write these words and do not withhold them. Truly, no woman who
hardens her heart and raises her voice against her lawful husband shall enter
Allah’s Paradise. Have they not read the divine message?
O
Ahmad, Allah desires you to remain with me for three days. Pay attention—Allah
wills to make you and some of your followers who come to you the best upon your
ship. Indeed, in that young man and his two companions, there is no doubt about
what you have commanded them. Teach them and lead them to the finest of
aspirations.
O
Ahmad, you have already fulfilled the task of teaching agriculture in the east
and the west of your native island. Now reopen it in five of your followers’
lands. Do they not see how Allah causes seeds to sprout into stems and leaves
in such a short time? And they enjoy the harvest within just seventy days. Such
is easy for Allah to do. Be diligent, and command them to give zakat from their
crops, and let you and them refrain from usury in trade.
O
Ahmad, go to those fields and stay with me upon the ridges until Allah truly
pours down rain upon them and makes fertile the lands you cultivate.
O
Ahmad, the appointed time for some of your followers has come, and Allah will
place their responsibilities upon your shoulders. You must carry them out,
until they witness the wisdom behind every command in this month of the
Prophet’s birth.
O
Ahmad, hasten to the fields that your two young companions have worked. Stand
firm until rain floods the land. This happens with the sincerity of your heart
and that of your first wife. I, Balya bin Malkan, have been commanded by Allah
to inscribe your names upon a bar of gold that shall remain in my possession
forever.
O
Ahmad, truly, amidst the turmoil in your land, they fail to understand that you
are a jewel born upon the soil of Arkhabil—as the defender of the people and
the poor within the ship of the end times.”
