The Prayer of the Animals on Mount Qaf And The Connection Between the Trees of the Earth and Mount Qaf
O Ahmad, Allah did not create anything upon the face of this earth except to fulfil the needs of His creatures. Not a single leaf falls except by His will. Indeed, mankind was created from the essence of the earth — from soils of differing textures and colours. Was it not, by Allah’s permission, that I once showed you the twelve elements and their contents, from which were formed the 313 paths and 313 kinds of cures derived from the divine knowledge Allah has bestowed upon you? Therefore, be grateful. Verily, Allah created all things in pairs, and He speaks to them. Indeed, animals and plants glorify Him, and Allah responds to their praises in His own way — by sending rain and the blowing of the wind — so that the trees may benefit one another and sprout new seeds and new growth. Likewise, the animals, each in their own manner, submit and praise Allah. Such is the will of Allah, the Most Wise, the Most Compassionate, and the Most Merciful.
O Ahmad, have you not witnessed certain animals performing their prayer at dawn upon Mount Qaf? Indeed, the great green flies will not seek sustenance until they form rows like those in prayer, waiting until the sun rises high and enters the time of Duha. Do humans then feel no shame, while the flies — creatures deemed filthy — are already ahead of them in prayer and in glorifying Allah? Has not Allah permitted the flies and certain other creatures to speak to you in the past, so that you and your followers may understand the true wisdom behind their creation? Indeed, it is not the flies who are at fault for entering human homes and spreading disease, but rather it is mankind who allows filth to remain within their houses. So let them reflect and think deeply.
O Ahmad, know that all of Allah’s attributes return to a single essence — that Allah *is Existence itself (Wujud), and His Existence is Mukhalafatulil-hawadith (utterly dissimilar to all created things). Let the servants of Allah understand that all of His attributes return to this one reality, Mukhalafatulil-hawadith, so that their intellects and hearts may be safeguarded from the deception of Iblis, who seeks to make them believe that Allah sits as His creatures sit. It is impossible for Allah to be in any form resembling His creation — Mustahīlun ‘alallāh an yaf‘aladzālik — just as the Christians and Jews once described Him. Indeed, they shall dwell in the most humiliating depths of Hell.
O Ahmad, complete the construction that you are now building, for the unjust and the wrathful shall not be able to approach your building, nor will they be able to move as they once did. Surely, Allah intends to give them both a warning and a lesson, and their words shall return upon themselves. Therefore, pay them no heed.
O Ahmad, there is no vegetation or fruit on earth whose number equals that of the trees growing upon Mount Qaf. Verily, when one kind of tree perishes upon that mountain, a corresponding species on earth too shall die. This, indeed, is a manifest proof of Allah’s power.
O Ahmad, tell the three of your followers — the women who are sisters — that they should plant once again in their fields the same trees their grandfather once planted: tall banana trees with good fruit, and fragrant mango trees with sweet produce. This will bring blessings upon them, and they must remain patient.
O Ahmad, tell your followers that their rank is not lowered merely because I did not mention their names, nor is it raised simply because I have. Indeed, honour comes only from piety, not from the abundance of human praise. Let your followers therefore compete in elevating their rank by increasing their piety.
O Ahmad, among the light deeds that are yet most difficult for the women — and for some men — in your time, is to restrain their hearts and their hands from writing down their grievances through the devices in their hands (emotional confessions on social media). Such acts lead to sin and wrongdoing, and indeed, they are vain deeds that open the pathways for devils. Allah has forbidden His servants from following the way of Satan. Therefore, let your wives and your followers avoid such actions.
O Ahmad, would you neglect, to the point of almost forbidding yourself what Allah has made lawful for you? Do you regard your MariyyahQibthiyah as a child of yours? Indeed, what you have uttered unintentionally to your other wives nearly brought upon you the wrath of Allah. She, in truth, greatly honours your Zainabataan and follows her counsel faithfully. Would you then close the path of repentance and devotion to one who was once nearly a bondwoman, but whom Allah protected and made free? Indeed, your story, without you realising it, has saddened the heart of your noble grandfather, Muhammad SAW. Do not repeat what displeases Allah and the dwellers of the heavens, for Allah has placed equality among the three of them.
O Ahmad, spend three days with the first, then three days with the third, and thereafter three days with the second. And do not let them neglect the dawn prayer unless you are the one leading them. Recite to them the verses of the Qur’an, and seek the best of nights for them to gather together. Then teach them the Shariah and the beneficial knowledge — the noble character (akhlaqulkarimah) and the book JawahirulMakhfiyyah. For through this, Allah’s mercy will descend upon you and your wives, keeping away the devils who seek to corrupt the final Shariah concerning a man who has multiple wives — that it must be done with fairness and goodness, not from lust or any desire that violates His laws.
