Divine help descends when a servant has poured every drop of strength into the struggle
Prophet Khidr came to me and
said:
"O Ahmad, indeed in all
of Allah’s creations are signs of His Supreme Power, and all wondrous knowledge
originates from the light of His Knowledge. You and your followers must show
gratitude for every divine work entrusted to you within your vessel. Truly, Allah
has the power to raise and to lower ranks as He wills. So do not be arrogant.
O Ahmad, let not your
followers respond to you with sweet words and flattering tongues, only to then
speak in ways unbefitting of a follower of the Messenger of Allah. Let them not
be easily disheartened. Is not all that you teach and convey to them for their
own good and success? And have you ever taken any worldly gain from all your
struggles through the three structures upon your vessel? Allah has shown me the
character and conduct of all those within your vessel. Be patient, and act with
firmness—teach them with sincerity and steadfastness.
O Ahmad, arrogance and
despair are among the traits of Iblis. He delights in dividing his own
progeny and mankind. In the presence of Allah, Iblis feigns humility, praise,
and pleads for forgiveness—yet the reality behind his pleas is that he seeks
strength to drag all his descendants and the descendants of Adam into Hell
along with him. Let not these traits reside within us, for these two evils
will render a person reckless and spiritually bankrupt.
How different is this from the
noble disposition of your honoured grandfather Muhammad, the Bringer of Mercy
and Light. His righteous descendants, devoted and God-fearing, are deeply
despised by Iblis, for they burden his steps. Do your followers realise that
Iblis has risen and sworn to destroy your vessel? It is because of the books
you have written—books that have inspired some women to be patient and obedient
to Allah and their husbands, and some men to guard themselves against sin and
immorality. Some of your followers have come to understand and practise the
laws of the Shariah. It is for this very reason that Iblis has ordered his
strongest offspring to seduce and discourage the leaders within your vessel—to
make them despair and give up. Let them become aware.
O Ahmad, truly the fire that
burns the disbelievers belongs to Allah. He allows them brief moments of
laughter, believing they are capable of overcoming it. Prepare yourself and your
staff, for they shall be granted triumph for only the span of a single breath
before they are stripped of the very breath they take upon their lands—until
death overtakes them. And the month of Hajj shall be the month of victory,
if only they strive with true commitment.
The help of Allah will not
arrive until His servants have exhausted their sweat and strength in righteous
deeds, in guarding themselves from disgraceful traits, and in keeping far from
sin.
O Ahmad, sit and observe. Take
heed of what I shall teach you. Let your followers remain patient. Truly, the
lessons in trade, and in learning about the earth and its vegetation, are not
common pursuits in your time. This is because Allah wishes to demonstrate His
Power over His Knowledge. Has not a single grain of soil from Mount Qaf cured
thirty ill people? And the water that springs from the land of your follower
flows green—unlike the surrounding wells? That water is of benefit to plants,
and it shall serve as a sign of Allah’s Might. Water from other wells mixed
with fertiliser cannot compare. Let them not dispute over its colour, and let
them not praise the well excessively. Rather, let them give thanks and glorify
Allah who created it. Let the owner of the well guard it through noble conduct
and diligent labour, striving to create the finest work with the water Allah
has granted—or else He may dry it up once again. For Allah can easily transfer
it elsewhere.
O Ahmad, complete your
mission, then prepare yourself. Soon, several great individuals shall seek you
through your followers. Say to them: “I, Ahmad Fahmi bin A. Syams, am
Al-Makhfiy—merely fulfilling commands and conveying messages from him (Prophet
Khidr A.S.).” And Allah wishes to preserve you as a hidden pride, not a
public fame or worldly glory that intoxicates.
Remain as Al-Makhfiy.
Let all your works proclaim the Power of Allah over all things."
Ahmad F. Bin Abdullah A. Syams
